How We’ll Work Together

Step 1: Getting Started

Coaching can begin anytime you wish – from the moment of diagnosis, through treatment and beyond. The recovery from cancer (what I call the climb back) begins at diagnosis and never really ends. And, it can be longer and more challenging than treatment. So it’s important to begin as soon as possible.

I offer a free initial chat in person or over the phone. It’s always great to talk to a fellow survivor. You are not a “patient.” You are a survivor. Period.

Step 2: A Trial Run

After our first conversation, if there’s a mutual agreement that there’s a good fit, I offer a 30-day no obligation trial period at a reduced, introductory rate.
I start by asking you a lot of questions. You do all the talking. I do all the listening. I take extensive notes. Then, we get to work. We develop a strategy and a plan and establish short and long-term goals and tactics. I give you homework. Together, we make it happen.

When you’re ready, we meet again, usually on the phone or via webcam. We discuss your progress and challenges. Again, we develop an action plan and with each teleconference or meeting, we keep modifying the plan. The mission, however, always remains the same – to enable you to survive to thrive. Every session ends with specific goals, objectives and timelines. If you need a personal visit, we have one. If you prefer regular electronic contact we do that too. Our relationship is instantly adaptable. You’re in control. It’s your journey, your life and your climb back. Together, we’ll do whatever it takes to maximize your chances of returning to a full life. I’ll introduce you to The 10 Tools of Triumph™ for Survivors and Caregivers and The Climb Back from Cancer™ Program that have proven so successful in helping survivors like you recapture their lives.

Step 3: Moving Forward
At the end of the trial period, if you would like to continue to work together, I ask that you provide me with a 90-day retainer with an option to renew. As long as I am meeting and hopefully exceeding your expectations, we will keep working together. If you want to stop or take a break for any reason, we do. It’s that simple.
